Morning at the Zoo

Its been a good 6 months since I have been to the Zoo. It’s a great place to go to entertain the sweetness that is my son, Kobe. Actually the last few weeks, there has been less of the sweetness & more of the throwing himself on the floor & screaming til the tears are raining down his face tantrums. Hello terrible two’s (cue deep calming breath with a hiccup of panic).

So I invited the sweet side of Kobe & my mum (incase the naughty side of Kobe decided to say hello-ha!). Our morning at the Zoo was thanks to the kindness of my yummy mummy friend Kaysey who had 2 spare tickets.

More monkeys

There is so much to explore here (we never get to see it all); we did manage to squeeze in the Australian bushwalk, African savannah & Nocturnal house before calling it a day. (Find out more about Perth Zoo here). As a teenager I was lucky enough to venture in the butterfly house (which sadly no longer exists). On the day we went, the Zoo train wasn’t operating & the kid’s playground was under repair. Which meant it was pram city everywhere you went. I felt sorry for the couples who were there on romantic dates inundated with queues of prams everywhere. Nothing says true romance than lots of children running around LOL.

Leering animals

Its nice to know I still got it, judging by the looks from these fellas. It was more of a fresh piece of meat dinner look . And the leopard even licked his lips in my direction! Definitely avoid these bad boys!

My favourite is the giraffes, Misha who is famous from the kiss photo lives at Perth Zoo. We have a celebrity Perth!

Zoo carousel

Overall Kobe was well behaved apart from lunch. He was rewarded with a ride on the carousel, giddy up horsey!

Cheeky gorilla's

No visit to the Zoo is without a photo op with these gorillas on the seat outside the gift shop. & incase your wondering the gorilla’s are on the left & the cheeky monkeys that are Kobe & I are on the right:)
You can also buy photo’s where you are super imposed near an animal of your choice but we were more than happy with the freebie gorilla photo.

Happy Thursday Friends!
Miss G

**sidenote: If your timepoor like we were I recommend purchasing the $1 Zoo map so you don’t waste time getting lost.
