Life is beachy

beach turtle

Week 1 of 2013 done & dusted! With Summer well & truly here we had some H.O.T days of over 40 degrees. Which meant the first part of our week (yes partner Mr L had time off from work, hooray!) with mornings spent at the beach.
And every morning we were greeted by Gigi’s (I named her Gigi G-string) nearly bare bum as we walked down the pathway to the beach. Nothing like a bronzed g-string bum to wake me up on our early starts haha. (Im not a pervert there was nowhere else to look as she sunbaked infront of the beach path)…sand creations

Anyhow lots of splashing in the water. Watching fit swimmers free-styling it & teenagers eagerly flipping off the jetty. So super excited that K-bear is no longer afraid of the water & he made daddy do dizzy wizzy after dizzy wizzy while mama smartly stayed on shore building sandcastle creations; fish, mermaid, turtle & snake. Running into K-bears grandparents was a blessing as I needed a distraction to finish them before K-bear dutifully came to squash them. He is always all too eager to break things, if only he was just as eager to tidy up after himself (dream on mama!).

I narrowly avoided a jellyfish in the water when I did eventually venture in. I can never seem to make it more than waist deep, its always so darn cold! We did see a crab burrow into the sand & finally after always hoping to find a starfish I found 3?!? My lucky days indeed!

Whats the silliest thing you made out of sand?
How are you spending your days? Any special plans?
Im going to continue to enjoy the sunshine:)
