Cohunu Koala Park

My precious lil man was sick with Roseola virus for the past week so we have been hibernating indoor unhappily. So to cheer him up when he was feeling better we took him to Cohunu koala park, Western Australia. Cuddles from a koala make everything better surely:)

Koalas are so much cuter in the flesh. It amazes me how they can sleep upright & clinging onto a branch, gravity & a good grip are on their side!

Fake large dinosaurs are scattered around the park, its like something out of Jurassic park.

All aboard the train that leaves from koala junction ofcourse. Unfortunately K-bear is still too wriggly so we werent able to go on the train it was too risky as we didnt want to rolley polley off. Not to worry we got to be entertained by the blue tongue lizards & echnidas nearby.

Surprisingly the animals were really friendly, the boys were lucky enough to get kisses from a deer. And in true Australian style the kangaroos were chilling in the sun, sunbaking.

Im always drawn to birds. Which is why I have a black flamingo tattooed on my ankle. The day wasn’t without drama as K-bear happily kicked his shoe off into the murky water so had to walk around in shoes the rest of our visit. But on the upside, there were no tears & plenty of giggles & smiles at all the beautiful animals.

I hope everyone has exciting plans for the weekend. Mine is already off to a great start, I caught up with my nurse firend Miss C last night to watch an old school classic Whats eating Gilbert Grape. And today the sun is shining so we are heading off to a sustainable festival.

Happy travels!
